5 Year Periodic Inspection Report

Case Study – Doncaster College & University Centre

Project: Initial Test & Inspection and subsequent Remedial Works

Date: July to September 2011

This project involved the full periodic testing and inspection of an existing electrical installation. This project involved the inspection and testing of over 8000 circuits throughout many different buildings and needed to be completed during the summer recess period of just 8 weeks. This was planned and undertaken by a team of project managers and engineers working both during normal hours and out of hours for critical shut down of computer suites etc. It was necessary to trace, identify and check all circuits and compile the necessary certificates, reports, new labelling and distribution board schedules as well as prepare a mains schematic drawings identifying the whole site installation.

In addition to the standard submission of certification, revised wiring diagrams and full-colour, laminated distribution board schedules can also be provided as requested.

*As of 1st January 2012, the law states that Periodic Inspection Reports are now known as Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR’s) – Please click here for additional details
